Elise & Michael’s BIG DAY!
Sometimes, the star’s align and two people make the decision that was long in coming, to get married. When Elise & Michael made that decision, one of the first things they did was hire me. We spent quite a bit of time selecting a venue, but after much deliberation and site-visits, they decided on Chateau Elan!
Once the venue was selected, we moved on to selecting the other vendors to be a part of their BIG DAY! {See full list below!}
I’ve said it a million times, every wedding (or special occasion), should be unique to the couple (person, business, etc.). There are many ways to accomplish this, but it all starts out with being true to who you are, what means the most to you and allowing the professionals to do our job to bring that vision to life! For this couple, it was the blending of their love for geeky things with an elegant touch.
It’s no secret that Chateau Elan is one of my favorite venues, because no matter where on the property you have your wedding, it will be wonderful. With Elise & Michael, we wanted something a little different. The ceremony took place in the Atrium, which is gorgeous in its own right, but when you add in draping, and a ceremony arch with lush flowers and an aisle treatment with soft touches of color – you have a dream-like setting.
The location for the reception was the Winery Pavilion. Now, with this selection, there were a few things that the couple didn’t like about the venue, biggest being the 80′ long mural on the back wall. So, the decision was made to drape it. Calling on the always fabulous creative of JWilbur of EventScapes, he did just that and created a completely different look and feel of the pavilion. Also, instead of the ceiling fan lights – which aren’t elegant, or in line with the desired look, Wilbur and his team hung beautiful crystal chandeliers.

BEFORE

AFTER
One of the ways that the couple brought their own, unique style to the reception was with the Groom’s cake which was a replica of the Dungeons and Dragons Handbook. Mark Lotti, Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes, did a fantastic job creating the cake. He also made the beautiful and delicious wedding cake! Mark never disappoints and the degree of his attention to detail is remarkable!!!!
The Moore Agency was on hand to make all of the ladies even more beautiful than they already were. While hair and make-up services were being provided, the ladies enjoyed some delicious bites and tasty beverages in their suite.
Meanwhile, the guys had a fun and filling lunch at Paddy’s Restaurant and Bar onsite at the resort!!
Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dinner and Reception music was provided by the all-talented, Jeni Michelson! For the ceremony and cocktail hour, Jeni treated the guests to beautiful renditions on the keyboard – adding in her tantalizing vocals for the cocktail hour. During the reception, she switched over to DJ and kept the crowd dancing throughout the evening!
Everyone had a blast in the photo booth! ShutterBooth provided a fun, interactive experience where guests were able to create a lasting memory of the wedding for the happy couple as well a having a memento of the special day to take away!
Michelle Landreau captured the gorgeous images throughout the day. Her easy style makes for a comfortable atmosphere for the couple, which in turn creates images that capture the emotion and beauty of the day! Thank you Michelle for sharing these images with us!
Jonathan Nye, of Cre8tive Cinema, was onsite creating a film of all of the details and special moments of the day. He is always such a pleasure to work with, and his talent is top-notch! I’ve included his teaser film down below the photos!
As promised, here is the link to the teaser film by Jonathan of Cre8tive Cinema.
It was such a pleasure working with this sweet couple and the wonderful vendors we recommended for their flawless wedding!

Cinderella marries her Prince Charming…AKA Jessica & Rocky get married!
This truly is one of the most special weddings I have ever planned and produced, because it’s was for my oldest daughter!
I did some blogging throughout the planning process {“From Planner to MOB”} if you want to read about some of the process along the way, and I admit, I didn’t ever get to the post about her bridal shower, but maybe one of these days I’ll get that one up too.
But, let’s talk about the wedding!!!!
The original plan/desire was to have a small wedding on the beach in Sarasota, however, after considering all of the details and logistics Jessica & Rocky decided to get married here in Georgia at their church. One of the things that meant so much to me was that they wanted a venue that held meaning to them and honestly, that makes so much sense. I admired them for feeling this way and I think choosing their church was the perfect choice!
Once the venue and date were set, the next step was to solidify the theme. They wanted an elegant but somewhere between vintage and shabby/chic vibe. I immediately began scouring antique and thrift stores buying up all of the milk glass I could find, along with tons of different styles of votive holders and crystal candlesticks. Jessica had some ideas of certain items she wanted such as an old suitcase for a card holder and another suitcase for the cake plateau. I found a couple of old suitcases that we refurbished and we were really happy with how they turned out! {All of these items are now available for rent. Contact us for information.}
Their colors were navy, deep coral and metallic gold. The girls wore navy dresses and the guys wore navy tuxes with coral accents. They all looked so nice.
The Ring Bearer was the cutest one ever!!!!!!!!! And the two Flower Girls were absolutely adorable!!!!
We knew with having Kristen Alexander as our photographer we were going to get fantastic, artistic and creative images – and she did not disappoint. Her calm demeanor and laid-back vibe and doing whatever it takes to get jaw-dropping images is incomparable. Her style to create lasting memories of classic photographs in a unique way is just one of the many reasons I refer my clients to her.
EventScapes Atlanta took a dark and warehousey feel of the church and made it look elegant. The ceremony backdrop which then became the cake backdrop was gorgeous! I loved the centerpieces created in the milk glass vases. The room looked beautiful.
Speaking of the cake, Oh-mmm-gee!!! Mark Lotti created a design that was gorgeous and perfect. Jessica and Rocky met with him and gave a few ideas and he came up with exactly what they wanted but weren’t able to put into words. It’s no surprise that Mark is my go-to guy for my clients, because not only does he create amazing designs, but the cakes taste even better (and that’s saying A LOT).
There were so many special details that were a part of the day such as Jessica’s uncle, my brother, walking her down the aisle and since her dad did not attend the wedding, she danced with her son (my precious Nanababy) instead of having Father/Daughter dance. It was adorable! The groom’s step-father officiated the wedding, which was so special. It was also important to the couple to remember the family members who have passed away, so we had a memory table with photos of those special people.
Instead of a traditional guest book, the couple instead had guests sign a Bible and asked them to highlight their favorite verse or leave words of encouragement. What a keepsake that is!
Guests had a blast with the Photo Booth provided by ShutterBooth Atlanta. They always do such a fabulous job. Their equipment is top-notch and their Hosts are fun and interactive.
The vendors {friendors} that worked with us were amazing!!!! They all outdid themselves and I (and my daughter and son-in-law) are eternally grateful.
I have to give a special SHOUT OUT to my team, Victoria and Donna! Although I did all of the planning, schedules, vendor confirmation, etc., they took over to produce the wedding so that I could actually enjoy being the Mother of the Bride. I have always said that I have the best and most hard-working associates of any planning firm around, and being able to experience their work and service first-hand, I am even more certain!
Wishing Jessica & Rocky a lifetime of happiness!!!!!!!!

Mazel Tov … Jessica & Avi
It was a beautiful summer day in the city appropriately named HOTlanta for the wedding of Jessica & Avi.
The couple met when Jessica took a job in Israel. They met shortly after she arrived and from there, the relationship developed and blossomed. When they decided to get married, the obvious location was Jessica’s hometown of Atlanta. Avi and his family live in Israel so this would mean a destination wedding for his family. Even though the couple are both Jewish, there were still differences in the traditions observed, so blending them was the first step in the blending of the two families.
Wanting to offer true hospitality and a wonderful experience not only to the groom’s family but to all guests in attendance, the venue, the Westin Buckead was selected. The Hotel being centrally located in the heart of Buckhead provided many activities for out-of-town guests to enjoy.
Jim White Designs provided a soft, romantic and elegant setting for the Ceremony using various shades of white and soft pink with subtle touches of green. The Chuppah doubled as a canopy during the reception giving a beautiful focal point for the cake presentation. I think you will agree it was gorgeous.
The romantic and elegant theme continued for the reception. There were touches of contemporary accents with the floral design along with a lot of flickering candles. A mix of tables including two long Estate tables framing the dance floor, as well as round guest tables provided visual interest in the room. A Sweetheart Table placed at the edge of the dance floor with a lush centerpiece, completed the design.
The menu for the evening included Mediterranean, Pasta, Salmon and Flatbread Stations. Guests were able to mingle as they visited the different stations filling their plates and bellies before they hit the dance floor.
Our favorite Pastry Chef, Mark Lotti, created the gorgeous wedding cake. The square cake featured the couples monogram on the center tier and consisted of Vanilla Bean and Oreo cheesecake. Guests were seen going back for seconds {even thirds}.
One of Atlanta’s premier party bands, US Beat, kept the crowd entertained and energized throughout the evening. We always love working with them!
Laura Stone captured the excellent images from the day which I’m sure you will enjoy {see below}! Special thanks to her for sharing them with us.
It’s always a pleasure working with a seasoned, professional team to ensure that the clients event exceeds their expectations and this wedding was one of those fabulous events!
We wish Jessica & Avi a lifetime of Happiness!!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Stephanie & Russell’s sweet wedding!!
This wedding was filled with so many beautiful personal touches, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
The day began at the home of the bride with all of her bridal party enjoying a brunch buffet complete with a Mimosa Bar while having their hair and make-up done by the talented folks at Brushworx.
Once Stephanie was in her dress which she purchased from Winnie Couture, we revealed her to her bridal party and then to her dad. Everyone Oohed and Ahhed over how gorgeous she was. Bridal party and family photos were taken in and around the home before we loaded her up in a limo provided by Atlantic Limousine to take her to meet her handsome groom for their First Look photos at Bulloch Hall.
Before the photo session began with the extremely talented photographer, Ashley of Blencoe & Co. Photographic Arts, the couple exchanged handwritten letters. They were so excited to see each other and the photos that took place next are swoon worthy.
The ceremony took place at Alpharetta United Methodist Church with reception to follow at Roswell Founder’s Hall.
Sarah Provow of Bloomin’ Bouquets provided the design of the gorgeous floral decor for the wedding. We had fun working with Sarah and Stephanie {bride} in selecting the flowers for the wedding. We spent a day at the wholesaler playing with all kinds of texture and color of flowers until we created the perfect combination that completed the bride’s vision. The bouquets were beautiful and the reception decor was exquisite. In addition to the lovely collection of flowers, mercury glass votive candles and other pieces graced the tables. We wanted to incorporate some bling into the design, so the Sweetheart Table and the Cake table had gold sequined linens provided by CoverUps Linens. The way they caught the light was spectacular.
The bride provided special signage that was displayed on the Escort Card table as well as the Favor display table. One really awesome piece was a moss monogram “B” decorated with brooches. It hung on the front door of the venue and created a warm and welcoming feel as guests arrived. She also provided many family photos that we placed around the venue adding a very personal touch to everywhere that guests looked.
The wedding cake created by my favorite pastry chef, Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes was fantastic. Although the design on the cake was rather simple, the floral cascade coming from the top tier to the bottom was striking and elegant and was exactly what Stephanie desired.
Scott Mikell of Marquee Events was the DJ for the evening and as always he did a wonderful job. He has such a way with the crowd and always provides a top-notch performance.
One special surprise for the couple was presented by their brother’s. The groom’s brother wrote a song that he and the bride’s brother performed. It was such a treat.
Talk of the Town provided the scrumptious buffet that was a huge hit with the guests.
After the wedding, the bride would be relocating to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where Russell was already residing due to his job. As an adorable and appropriate favor, bags of Lancaster candy was given that had a note thanking the guests for attending and providing their new address.
The couple departed as guests tossed lavender at them wishing them Best Wishes and Congratulations!
We loved working with this couple to plan and produce their wedding, it truly was a magical day. We wish Stephanie & Russell a lifetime of happiness!!

Beautiful wedding of Corey & Jeff!!
It was such a pleasure working with this couple to plan their wedding. Everything turned out so beautifully thanks to my vendor partners.
Villa Christina/Hyatt at Perimeter Summit was the venue. An outside wedding ceremony took place under the pavilion. Even with a less than desirable weather forecast for the day resulting in strong winds that almost took out some of the decor, we were able to reset and during a few moments of calm, have the ceremony as planned.
Monique from Blossoms Atlanta provided the decor and it was stunning! The bright color palette was refreshing and went perfectly with the garden atmosphere.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed themselves during cocktail hour on the Terrace before being invited to the Ballroom where they entered a gorgeous set-up. Luscious linens from I Do Linens graced the tables while again the floral decor created a visual appeal with the bright colors. The couple wanted guests to enjoy the party and not feel like they had to remain at their tables throughout the reception, so we set up a lounge area that was decorated with personal pillows indicating their college team, professional sports teams and their own personalized pillows that will be used in their home. Collection Event Rentals provided the linen colored sofas and chairs along with a wood coffee table that we adorned with photos of the couple.
Speaking of college, Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes created an amazing replica of the Ohio State stadium which was provided as the Groom’s cake. It was a HUGE HIT! He also designed the wedding cake that took the Bride’s breath away!
I always advise my clients to brand (personalize) their event as that is what truly makes it unique. Corey & Jeff did just that. The tables were named after some of their favorite restaurants and on the table sign, the story of that particular restaurant was provided. Guests enjoyed visiting the other tables to read a little more about the couple. This truly provided a unique touch!
EastCoast Entertainment provided the DJ services of Josh Bagley. He did a wonderful job of keeping guests entertained and on the dance floor.
Who doesn’t love a PhotoBooth – well the guests at this wedding sure did! ShutterBooth Atlanta provided their open booth and we selected the silver glitz backdrop to go along with the wedding decor. Everyone had such a great time posing for the photos.
A delicious late night snack was offered to guests so that they could replenish their energy after all of the partying. Burgers fries and onion rings were a hit!
As a send off for the couple, guests lined up waving ribbon wands to wish the couple farewell. It was a beautiful wedding and guests were overheard commenting that it was the best party they have ever been to!
It was such a pleasure working with this couple!! We wish Corey & Jeff a lifetime of Happiness!!!

Military Wedding at the Vineyard!
The wedding of Kelly & John is one that was filled with so much beauty. The couple could be mistaken for models and the added bonus of John being in the military makes for even more gushing.
The setting was Chateau Elan. Ceremony was held in the Atrium with Reception to follow in the Debussy Ballroom. The grandeur of the venue itself proves a fabulous backdrop, but add to that the creative genius of JWilbur of EventScapes and you have truly a photo-worthy wedding. Several special touches with the decor were incorporated, such as alphabet decals placed on the mirrors in the pre-function area directing guests to which display they would locate their table assignment card. JWilbur also created a stunning arch for use at the ceremony. You can see more of the lovely details in the photos below provided by Kristen Alexander.
One fun detail for the couple was the Groom’s cake – created by Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes. Kelly wanted to surprise John with a nod to her alma mater, Auburn University, so the cake was designed with the decor of his alma mater, Ole Miss, on the outside, but inside the cake, the layers were blue and orange. Everyone had a chuckle at that little twist.
Guests had a blast on the dance floor boogieing down to the musical stylings of Yacht Rock Schooner.
It was a pleasure working with all of the vendors on this wedding to create the memorable wedding day for our client.
