Winter Wedded Bliss for Lindsey & Justin!

Posted in Weddings tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 9:00 am by JBEvents

Winter weather in Atlanta is always unpredictable, but when your wedding is planned to take place on the weekend of the week of an Atlanta snow/ice storm, there is even more reason to be stressed.  But, luck was on our side and although some guests who were trying to fly in from the Northeast were unable to make the trip, the weather here in the ATL cleared up, ice melted and Lindsey and Justin had a wonderful wedding weekend!

The Westin ~ Buckhead was the site for the nuptials.  Jim White transformed the ceremony area into a beautiful, winter white, sparkly wonderland.  The Chuppah was lovely and was such a perfect place to share their vows.  The reception decor was gorgeous as well and included custom linens from Jim White Designs.

Lindsey’s Ravini gown was gorgeous and she looked like a princess in it.  Justin looked very handsome in his custom-made tux.  The bridesmaids wore dark charcoal long dresses from Bella Bridesmaid

Adding an extra special touch to the ceremony was the Bride’s step-father, co-presiding with Rabbi Levenburg.

We always enjoy working with Laura Tarquino of Vosamo Photography.  Her images {see below} capture the beauty and emotion of the day.

Guests had fun with the Photo Booth from ShutterBooth.  The silver, sequined back drop added to the overall winter wonderland theme.

Keeping the crowd on the dance floor all night was none other than Atlanta Beat!  Their high-energy and excellent play-list had guests wanting more!

We were so happy to work with Lindsey & Justin on their wedding and we wish them a lifetime of Happiness!!!!

Holiday Nuptials for Katelyn & Ross

Posted in Weddings tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 11:00 am by JBEvents

Getting married around the Holiday’s is such a special time especially when you have family traveling in from all over to join in the joyous occasion.  Such was the case for Katelyn and Ross.  Their ceremony was held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with reception to follow at the InterContinental Hotel.  We were fortunate to have a great vendor-team to pull this beautiful wedding off.  There were so many special touches including the Bride’s grandmothers prayer-book being incorporated into her bouquet, a solo by the brides brother before she walked down the aisle, custom linens, a surprise Pie Bar in lieu of a Groom’s Cake as well as a special treat for all guests in the form of a late-night shot of “Elk’s Milk” which is a family tradition from the Groom’s side and dates back for generations.  The drink is a concoction of Orange Sherbet and Vodka.  I must admit, it was quite tasty.  Everything created such a wonderful celebration for two very special people and their amazing parents!

Everything about this wedding was beautiful so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.  Special thanks go out to Shannon Belletti for providing the majority of the images below in addition to some taken by JBEvents Staff.

Love was in the air for Emily & Elliot

Posted in Weddings tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 6:16 pm by JBEvents

This past weekend was beautiful and created the perfect backdrop for the wedding of Emily and Elliot!!

What an adorable couple they are!  They both have infectious smiles and you can see and feel the love they have for each other!!

Emily selected two GORGEOUS dresses for her wedding day.  One that was classic, elegant, timeless and dreamy and the other was fun and beautiful.  She also had two amazing pairs of shoes…. for the ceremony she wore a flat, gold sparkly Steve Madden pair and for the reception {the PARTY shoe} she wore fuchsia glittery heels from Kate Spade!  I was in love with them both!

Many times there are a variety of vendors involved with providing services for an event and when those vendors understand the concept of Team Work, it is totally amazing what can be accomplished.  Such was the case with this wedding!

The venue, the Atlanta History Center, one of Atlanta’s most sought after venues for weddings and other special events, created the canvas for the event.  The dedication and flexibility of the Sales team were very much appreciated and the on-site staff were top-notch!

The creative genius (or head artist keeping with the painting theme) behind the event, JWilbur of  EventScapes Atlanta (a division of CCP Events) pulled together not only a stunning design theme, but also the perfect team of vendors to work together to achieve it.  It takes a special talent to listen to a client and then design the decor to carry out their vision.  Wilbur has an uncanny way of being able to do just that.  He is able to take the desires of the client and couple them with his ideas to present them in a way that not only makes sense but combines elements that you might not commonly think of as working together.

After determining the direction of the design and use of space, Wilbur brought together the perfect vendors to fulfill the vision.  From the always professional team of Peachtree Tents and Events who provided the tent and the hard goods to the talented and dedicated team from PPi who provided sound and lighting, to The Plant Peddler who brought in beautiful topiary trees for use in the ceremony and in the reception tent – the camaraderie and team spirit of each person working towards the common goal of creating the fabulous event was evident!

Kristen Alexander, another creative genius, was the photographer of the wedding.  She has one of those “eyes” that sees things others do not – so her photos are always gorgeous and emote feeling!  I certainly appreciate Kristen sharing a sneak peek of the images from the wedding – which you can see below.  {I decided to forego posting my snapshots right now since I had these fabulous images to share instead}!

The Event Performance String Ensemble provided the ceremony music and they were wonderful.

The crowd had a wonderful time feasting on the delicacies from Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub who served as the caterer for the wedding.  The restaurant is one of the couples favorite places to eat – so they thought it would be great to share the food they so enjoy there with the guests attending their wedding.

EastCoast Entertainment provided the band for the evening, Big Swing and the Ballroom Blasters.  They kept the crowd entertained and on the dance floor throughout the evening.

We were honored and thrilled to be a part of this truly amazing wedding.

We wish Emily & Elliot a lifetime of Happiness!!!

And now for the sneak peek courtesy of Kristen Alexander, photographer extraordinaire!!!

Springtime Happiness for Erin and Taylor!

Posted in Weddings tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 8:20 pm by JBEvents

A beautiful spring day was the backdrop for the wedding of Erin and Taylor and the beautiful St. Regis hotel was the host hotel.

Julie and Courtney of Formal Faces arrived at the St. Regis to work their magic on the bridal party.  The bride choose a beautiful style of a modified bun which looked wonderful with the veil she wore and then later a birdcage veil.

Her dress was a Martina Leona from one of my favorite Bridal Salons, La Raines Boutique.  She looked like a princess in the gown.  Her bridesmaids wore stunning styles in coral with an ivory sash from Bella Bridesmaid.  The Jr. bridesmaids wore similar styles but in an eggplant color.

We must also say that the guys were very handsome in their tuxes from Savvi formalwear.

Adding an element of fun to the day was the transportation for the wedding party and guests.  Glenn from The Atlanta Trolley gave our group some wonderful moments not to mention photo ops with the old Trolley.

The ceremony was held at Northside United Methodist Church in Buckhead with reception following at Capital City Club ~ Brookhaven.

Foxgloves and Ivy provided the gorgeous floral designs.  The bride just beamed when she first saw her bouquet.  The peonies were just perfect!!

The florals at the Club were breathtaking.  The Estate Table included tall white candelabra with draping crystals.  They certainly made a statement.  The guest tables had various other floral designs both tall and short centerpieces.

The tables were graced with luscious linens from Chair Covers and Linens.  As many times as I have worked at Capital City Club ~ Brookhaven, I don’t think I have ever seen the place look as beautiful.  Even staff members were overheard commenting on how amazing the room looked.  The guest tables were covered with a silver pintuck linen.  Coral napkins were used which provided a nice contrast.  On the large, covered Terrace, the cocktail tables and highboys were covered in coral linens which certainly was an appropriate color for spring.  The cake table had an amazing special linen that was a textured sheer placed over a coral underlay.

Each place setting was individually labeled with hand calligraphied cards from Maren Nicholas.  Each place setting also had an adorable small, white sparkly terracotta type planter with a Peach Pie Pop blooming from it.  This was such a cute idea.  The Peach Pie Pop was in the shape of a flower – so it was like each guest had their own blooming treat.

Fruitwood Chiavari Chairs were rented from Event Rentals Unlimited which added just the right touch to the look of the ballroom.

The bride and groom’s seats at the Estate Table had wooden signs hanging that said Mr.  and Mrs.  I loved this detail.

Frank and Wendy Gibson were the photographers for the event and they were busy taking  gorgeous images of the day.  Judging from the sneak peek of some photos that are on their blog – they certainly captured the beauty of the couple and their day.

The wedding cake which was an original creation from the genius Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes was not only fabulous but also delicious!!!  The cake was 5 tiers and had clusters of sugar-paste flowers placed asymmetrically on the front side of the cake.  It truly was a work of art.

The Flavor Band kept the crowd on the dance floor all night.  Their mix of music included something for everyone.

We also had a cigar area.  The lower Terrace proved to be the perfect place for the humidor to be displayed while Tommy Bahama ashtrays collected the ashes.  This was a popular place throughout the event.

When the time came for the party to end, the guests gathered to toss rose petals on the newly married couple as they escaped to a lovely limo provided by Atlantic Limousine that was waiting to whisk them away to begin their new life together.

We were so pleased to work with this family on the amazing wedding and we wish happiness to last forever for Erin and Taylor.

She Said YES to more than just the Dress!!

Posted in Weddings tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 9:03 pm by JBEvents

What a great couple!  You can’t help but smile when you look at these 2.

The day began with Ryan and Tarra from The Moore Agency providing hair and make-up services for the crew.  As always, they did a wonderful job and had the bridal party looking just beautiful.

Nita had been featured on the TLC show, “Say Yes to the Dress” and I would have to say, she made an excellent selection.  The dress she chose was a Lazaro fit n flare design with a slight sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical ruffles starting just below the hips.  The dress also had a champagne sash with a side-bow.

She wore different accessories for the ceremony and reception – both of which looked fabulous with the dress.  For the ceremony, she wore a three-strand of pearls, while for the reception; she changed to a more modern chunky necklace that paired well for the party.

The bridesmaids wore short eggplant colored dresses by Jim Hjelm.  The bouquets which contained pink peonies really stood out against the dresses. The four young greeters wore hot pink dresses.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was the site for the traditional Filipino ceremony led by Father Mario Lopez.

The wedding party departed the church after the ceremony in a Trolley and made a few photo stops along the way with one being the Woodruff Arts Center, before arriving at the reception location of The Ritz-Carlton ~ Buckhead.

Capturing the images of the day were Chris and Allie of The Reason photography.

My staff videographer was also capturing the memories of the day and I’m sure the end result will be one that the couple looks back on years from now and will be able to relive the emotions of the day.

As guests arrived at the Ritz-Carlton ~ Buckhead, there were greeted with delicious hors d’oeuvres and beverages which included the signature drink of a White Sangria.  A video montage provided entertainment for the guests while they enjoyed Cocktail Hour.

Once guests were invited into the Ballroom, they entered to see yet another vision of beauty.  The 17 tables held two different types of floral centerpieces designed by Flowers From Us.  The tall arrangements consisted of a clear vase with a submerged stem of orchids while a lush arrangement in various shades of pinks, purples and greens with crystal beads draped around graced the top of the vase.  The other tables had a variety of different sized clear vases each with monochromatic stems of flowers for a very interesting display.

The wedding party had a great time as they strutted their stuff while being introduced – but not to be upstaged, the bride and groom entered and proceeded to have their first dance, which they choreographed to the wonderful jazz standard, At Last by Etta James.  The groom had confessed he didn’t sleep the night before because he was worrying about the dance – but judging from the sidelines, I would give them a 10!

DJ Ryan from Spectrum Entertainment kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.  I think that all of the guests were more than ready to begin dancing by the time dinner was complete.  Spectrum also provided the ambient lighting and the gobo that was projected onto the dance floor.

McEntyre’s bakery provided the round 5 tiered cake that was embellished with a French scroll design on each tier while a cluster of peonies graced the top of the cake.

When it came time for toasts, the Best Man, long time friend of the groom and the Maid of Honor, youngest sister of the Bride reveled the crowd with amusing anecdotes.

One of the very fun and popular aspects of the evening was the Photo Booth supplied by the photographers.  The couple provided some of the props which included small chalkboards, fake mustaches, hats, glasses and various other fun items.

Towards the end of the evening, guests were treated to a late night snack of sliders and fries.  It was a total hit!

When it came time for the party to end, guests were invited to wish the couple farewell with a bubble fanfare.  One of the sweetest moments of the day came during the few minutes while the bride and groom were hanging out in the ballroom after the guests had left to get ready for the bubble fanfare, and the DJ started playing a song and the two of them just started dancing.  It was completely unscripted and very touching.

We are so happy to have been a part of this celebration, and making it even more special to us, was this was the second wedding for this family that we had the pleasure of coordinating!!!

Wishing happiness always to Nita and James!!
