For many years, I have wanted to produce an event that would be geared towards brides/engaged couples but wouldn’t be like the many Bridal Shows that are prevalent.  What I wanted was to showcase gorgeous gowns, and present some favorite vendors in a really cool venue.  I finally had that opportunity!!!!!

Several months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Wendy who is the Marketing and Public Relations Manager at {three}sheets, an upscale night club located in Sandy Springs.  During our tour of the venue, which can host private events of all kinds, she mentioned that during the summer they would be hosting “Fashion Friday’s” and that as a part of that series, she would love to have a bridal portion.  Well that was indeed music to my ears.  Since I loved the venue, and this would fulfill my desire to offer something different than a traditional bridal show, I immediately spoke up and said I would love to partner with {three}sheets on this endeavor.  Due to scheduling conflicts AND my desire to present new designs, we finally settled on the date of Friday, October 21st!

With the date set, I began to enlist the assistance of some of my favorite vendors.

The dress designer was one that I didn’t even have to think a second about, and I was so pleased and honored that Atlanta’s own, Anne Barge, agreed to provide her amazing new designs to show at the event.  The fun part was selecting the gowns at her salon.  While I would have loved to select every single gown she had, we knew that to keep the interest of those attending, we needed to limit our selections and showcase a variety of styles that would suit every taste.

The next vendor that I got involved early on was none other than Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes.  I knew that showcasing his designs AND his amazing product would be a huge hit to everyone in attendance – whether they were engaged or not.  He did not disappoint.  He provided a beautiful contemporary cake in the colors accenting the venue, black, white and red.  Guests were provided a selection of varieties to enjoy including, chocolate with chocolate ganache, Italian Cream, Vanilla, and a seasonal flavor of Cinnamon Apple.

Knowing that men would be in the attending audience, we certainly didn’t want to leave them out, so Guffey’s menswear provided tuxedos to coordinate with our bridal gowns.  The styles that were presented are sure to make every man shine on his wedding day.

Florals were provided by Lauren of Adorned Event Design.  I selected Lauren because of her fresh, creative ideas that are not the typical designs you see for bouquets and boutonnieres.  She did not disappoint.  All of her designs were gorgeous but one that stood out was a bouquet made entirely of cotton.

I was pleased to have Wedding Angels partner with us to provide bridesmaid attire as well as a few intriguing bridal gowns.  The selections of styles shown were some of the hottest straight off of the New York runways from Fashion Week.

AnnaBellagio provided our gorgeous jewelry and accessories for our models.  Their selection of jewelry is vast and their pricing is very affordable.  They can provide accessories to coordinate with any color, style, look, etc that can be imagined.

Stylist Kori Smith and her team produced make-up and hair styles for all of our models.  I asked Kori to showcase not only traditional styles that would be typical for a wedding, but also some more avante gard styles that would be appropriate for a fashion show.  While our models were beautiful before they even received the services, she and her team transformed them into looks that were stunning to say the least.

Speaking of models, we partnered with Caliber Model Enterprises to provide several of our models for the show and then we supplemented with friends of Wendy and me.  I was so pleased with each and every one of the models as they truly made the designs shine.

Capturing the event as well as providing a behind-the-scenes look, was Ben Vigil of Ben Vigil Photographers.  I knew that with his talent and creativity we would have amazing images and boy did he!!!!

What would an event be without Door Prizes?  Well, we certainly didn’t want to find out, so our guests were treated to awesome gifts such as Massages from Massage by Pace, jewelry from AnnaBellagio, a Specialty Cake from Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes, gift certificates from Wedding Angels , gift bag from Fab’rik, and a variety of items such as photo frames, toasting flutes and goblets from Janice Blackmon Events.

With an event of this magnitude, it was essential to have a strong media sponsor, and the obvious choice was Modern Luxury, The Atlantan Brides!  Not only did they support us with marketing for the event, they also provided copies of their latest magazine for the Swag Bags.

I must also Thank other media sponsors for helping to get the word out about this amazing event as well as attending, Heather Vreeland of Occasions Magazine and Lei Lydle of AtlantaBridal.com.  With the combination of these three powerhouses, we knew that getting the word out for the event would be an easy and productive task.

Speaking of Swag Bags, the first 100 guests received a gift bag that included some amazing items, such as gourmet candy, gift and discount cards, hair and make-up products, jewelry, lip balm, in addition to two publications; The Atlantan Bride and Occasions magazines.

This event truly was a dream come true and my deepest appreciation goes out to every vendor that had a part in making the event such a success.  Hopefully, this will be the first of many more exciting events to come that will showcase some of the area’s finest vendors that work together to make every event perfect/flawless!

Thank you as always to my staff for making this event flawless like every one that we produce.  My team is the BEST!!!!!!!!
