We had the opportunity to coordinate the Rehearsal Dinner and the wedding for Elizabeth and Kevin.

Kevin hails from Canada while Elizabeth is from here in Atlanta.  To give a nod to the uniting of the North and the South, they blended components from both areas. The Rehearsal Dinner, held at Magnolia Hall in Piedmont Park, gave those in attendance a good sense of this blending.  As guests entered the venue, they were charged with finding their “Escort Card” which was made out of puzzle pieces from Provinces of Canada.  Each guests name was written on the back of a puzzle piece and at each table, there was a puzzle where each of those assigned to the table would place their piece thereby completing the puzzle.  This was a wonderful way for guests to get to know each other since so many of these guests were meeting for the first time.   The décor on the tables was a mix of Southern inspired red and white checked table cloths with a sprinkling of confetti maple leaves.  The menu featured delicious southern specialties like Barbeque Chicken and Pork with all of the appropriate sides from Low Country Barbeque

For the wedding, a more formal and sophisticated Southern style was presented.  Ansley Golf Club hosted the reception and provided guests with different food stations to even include a Panini station.

Providing the amazing florals for the day was David LaVoy.  As always, his designs were stunning!!

Henri’s provided both the wedding and groom’s cake.  The groom’s cake was a Hockey arena – truly a hit with those Canadian guests.  There was even a “flower girl” cake and ice cream sundae bar.  Guests certainly had no shortage of sugar for this reception.

Marcus Krause was on hand to capture the images of the day.

Keeping the crowd entertained and on the dance floor was the awesome band, MoxieRich Tatgenhorst Band Leader and owner of Axtell Productions always provides an exceptional show and this was no different.  His ability to read the crowd while keeping the wishes of the client balanced is excellent.

Atlantic Limousine and Transportation provided all of the transportation on both the wedding day and for the rehearsal dinner to include a vintage Rolls Royce for the couple to depart in.

To tie back in to the Canadian half of the wedding, guests were treated with Maple Sugar candies in the shape of Maple leaves as they departed.

A very special Thank You goes out to my team of Jessica and Mandi for this wedding.  They had to deal with many circumstances that were not typical for an event and did so with the utmost professionalism.  This was just another example of how Janice Blackmon Events makes every event flawless regardless of circumstances thrown our way!!!!!!!
