Nothing like a hot day in Atlanta in June for an outdoor wedding, but thanks to the Atlanta Botanical Garden providing a refreshing citrus water station and the bride providing ceremony program’s in the shape of a hand fan – the guests were able to handle the heat.

Sarah and Jordan selected a color palette of Navy and Yellow with touches of white, purple and peach.

Sarah’s gorgeous gown was a creation by Claire Pettibone and was purchased from Kelly’s Closet.  The dress was stunning and was a sheath of lace that had a vintage feel with accents of crystal brooches in the front center, shoulders and back.  The gown was ivory with touches of gold in some of the lace floral appliqués.  The gown had an illusion back with keyhole openings.

Jennifer and Heidi from Formal Faces provided a beautiful hairstyle that was perfect for the hot summer day.  Sarah’s hair was pulled back at the nape and was fashioned in an intricate bun.

The bridesmaids were able to select a style of dress that complimented their personal style and the outcome was wonderful.  The dresses were from Ann Taylor and were in navy.  The girls also choose their own shoes.

The gentlemen wore gray tuxedos from MW Tux.  They were such a nice compliment to the girls’ attire, and the men all looked handsome.

Rich and Dawn Larsen of Creative Events by Sunflowers provided the gorgeous floral.  The ceremony aisle was lined with free-standing urns holding arrangements that would later be used on the guest tables.  The altar area was created using various stands and containers of petals.  The reception offered various designs.  The tall centerpieces were just stunning and consisted of a clear glass vase with single blossoms strung to hand within the vase and a lush arrangement on top.  The low centerpieces were equally lovely and contained the same beautiful flowers in the color palette of the day.

Shari Zellers of Shari Zellers Photography and her staff created what I know will be amazing photos.  Being the dedicated and true professional that she is, Shari made multiple visits to the Atlanta Botanical Garden to scout out just the perfect spots for photos.  She experimented with one particular shot that was taken later in the evening with delayed exposure and just judging from the image she showed me just after taking it this is going to be one awesome portrait.

Nick Crowder of Atlanta Band’s and DJ’s provided the ceremony as well as the reception music.  The bride selected Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings as the music for the ceremony and I must say – it was a very nice change from what we typically hear!!

Guests were invited into the Parterre Gardens for Cocktail Hour where they were met by servers from Bold American Catering offering delicious varieties of hors d’oeuvres.  When Bold American Catering is involved, you can rest assured that the service AND the food will be impeccable!!  I love the Parterre Garden since at the center is the magnificent Chihuly sculpture positioned on the fountain.

While enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the guests were invited to sign a fabric square which will be made into a quilt for the couple to have forever.  The mother of the bride not only prepared the squares of fabric for the guests to sign, but to further enhance the look of the table, she provided “quilt” fabric to cover the table.

The couple had their first dance to Pearl Jam’s live version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You”.

Guests were treated to an option of a chicken or salmon entrée with appropriate delicious side dishes as accompaniments.

The bride’s and groom’s cakes were provided by Caryn’s Cakes.  The bride selected a 3 tiered round cake covered in ivory with graphics of abstract style flowers in Navy as accents.  While the groom’s cake was a tribute to his alma mater, Georgia Tech, and was a football field design with accents of the Tech tower, the Ramblin Wreck and Buzz.

The guests were perhaps on a sugar overload by the end of the reception because there was a candy bar in a Hansel and Gretel theme.  A variety of candy was presented in various containers placed on a green linen that we had fashioned a stair-step path up to the witch’s house.  White bags were provided so that guests could create a goodie bag to go! (Although many of them enjoyed the treats right then and there!)

The couple departed amidst bubbles as they made their way to their vehicle and drove away starting their new life together.

As usual, my team was on top of everything little detail to make sure that we produced another flawless event.

We wish a lifetime of Happiness to Sarah and Jordan!  Thank you for allowing us to be a special part of your day.
