The forecast was not in our favor, but the excitement, happiness and beauty put a warm smile on everyone’s face.

Hair and make-up for the bride, her mom and her maid of honor began at the host hotel, The Renaissance, formerly Hotel Palomar.  Aly and Hollie from Authentic Beauty created the “pin-up doll” look for both bride and Maid of Honor.

It began raining prior to us departing the hotel, but we were able to get everyone loaded into their vehicles without too much wetness and get the bridal party and her family over to King Plow Arts Center

Once there, Becky slipped on her dress and the photos with Robin Gaucher Photography began.  Despite the rain, Robin and her assistant, Jennifer, were able to get some fabulous shots in and around King Plow.

Photos continued with David, his Best Man and his family – while they too were dodging raindrops.  I always have umbrellas with me – which tend to provide some fun backdrops/props for photos when the weather doesn’t completely cooperate.

The Main Gallery was the setting for the ceremony.  Heather with Tulip created a beautiful look using the bride’s choice of colors, black, white and yellow.  Heather utilized white columns with large black vases filled with Forsythia branches at the alter area and the beginning of the aisle.  She then lined the aisle with various height cylinders and floating candles, which just glowed like the couple themselves.  The alter area also had 2 more of the columns with the vases and both were surrounded with more candles.  The ceremony area truly looked magical.

Catherine Rogers, provided the serene music of the harp as guests arrived and during the ceremony.  She is always such a joy to work with and her musicianship, flexibility, talent as well as assistance with clients to determine the exact music for their wedding that reflects their style is incomparable.

After the ceremony, guests were invited into the Front and Middle Gallery’s where they were greeted with hors d’oeuvres and beverages.  A total of 12 highboy tables alternating with round and square designs

were placed around the space.  Peachtree Tents and Events provided the square highboys as all as all of the chiavari chairs and stools.  The square highboys had lovely black twisted linen while the round highboy tables had white twisted linen.  Tamara Gollob of I Do Linens provided the linens.  Her selections of linen’s, which include custom linens designed for any occasion, are nothing less than amazing! The square highboys had white chiavari bar stools placed around them for the guests wanting to have a seat.

While the guests were indulging in the tasty treats during Cocktail Hour, the vendors and staff were busy with transitioning the Main Gallery for the dinner and dancing portion of the reception.  In keeping with the color theme, each table had a black underlay and then half of the tables had a black and white patterned overlay that created such visual interest.  Black chiavari chairs were placed around the tables.  The bride and groom were seated at a Sweetheart Table that had yet another black and white linen that most definitely set that table apart.

Various styles of centerpieces were placed on the tables utilizing monochromatic combinations of yellow tulips, callas, daffodils, and mums, white orchids among other white blooms, green bells of Ireland and purple irises.  Surrounded by votive candles, each table had so much interest and was just beautiful.

The couple chose a trio of stations that offered a delicious array of some of Bold American’s signature dishes.  There was South City Kitchen Fried Chicken Station that had various side dishes to include biscuits and corn muffins. Another popular station among the guests was the chef attended Macaroni and Cheese bar.  You could add your choice of a variety of toppings.  Rounding out the trio was a tenderloin carving station.  Judging from guests that kept coming back to get more of the delectable goodies, the choices of the couple were perfect.

Caryn Nash of Caryn’s Cakes provided the most adorable mini-cupcakes along with an 8’ cake that the couple used for their ceremonial cake cutting.  Among the flavors were Red Velvet, Chocolate and vanilla.  Tulip designed the cake table to include various levels of cupcake displays as well as a milk-white cake stand, which held the couple’s cake.  The display was just beautiful.

Keeping the crowd on their feet throughout the reception was Band X.  Performing selections from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and even contemporary hits of today.  Their energy was contagious and the guests were literally on the dance floor all night.

Cooper-Atlanta Transportation provided shuttle service for the guests as well as the Bride and Groom as they departed amidst their friends and family on the mini-bus back to the hotel.  I’m pretty sure the party didn’t stop once they reached their destination – which is a testament to just how much fun everyone had.

The JBEvents Team – consisting of Jessica, Sheena, Erin and myself, were so pleased to have been a part of this celebration of love.  We wish Becky and David a lifetime of happiness!!!!
